Please be advised that due to an upcoming public holiday, several payment systems will operate with limited or no processing capabilities. Please review the information below to understand which transaction types will be affected.
1. SEPA Payments (SCT)
Impacted Dates:
25 December 2025 – Non-working day
26 December 2025 – Non-working day
1 January 2026 – Non-working day
No SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) payments will be processed on these dates due to TARGET2 and SEPA system closures.
Payments submitted during the affected days will be processed on the next working day.
2. SWIFT & Other International Payments
International payment processing depends on intermediary and destination bank schedules.
Payments initiated on non-working days will be processed on the next available working day.
Faster Payments (FPS – UK)
3. FPS is generally available 24/7.
Transfers may still experience delays depending on the recipient bank holiday schedules.
4.BGN Payments (BISERA)
Impacted Dates (Bulgaria National Holidays):
24–26 December 2025 – Non-working days
31 December 2025 – 2 January 2026 – Non-working days
Additional Notice – Euro Adoption in Bulgaria:
As Bulgaria transitions to the euro on 1 January 2026, BGN transfers will only remain available until 13:00 (1:00 PM) on 30 December 2025.
Any BGN transfer attempted after this cut-off will be declined.
Impact:
No BISERA (BGN) payments will be processed during the holiday dates listed above.
Payments submitted during the outage window will be processed on the next working day.
Please ensure any time-sensitive transactions are submitted in advance of the holiday period.
